Cedar Crest College School of Nursing Posts the Highest NCLEX-RN Pass Rate in the Lehigh Valley
Score puts the School of Nursing well above PA and national averages.
In a region well-known for its premiere health care educational programs, Cedar Crest College’s School of Nursing is thrilled to report a 93.88% percent first-time pass rate for the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) for the test period from October 2021 to September 2022. The pass rates are reported by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing.
The College’s pass rate is the best in the Lehigh Valley and is well above the national rate, which stands at 80 percent, as well as the Pennsylvania pass rate, which is 84 percent. While state and national averages dropped this year, Cedar Crest’s 2021-2022 pass rate is up from last year’s rate of 92.4% percent.
“The pre-licensure program at Cedar Crest is built on excellence and a longstanding tradition of smart, caring, and compassionate nurses over 50 years,” says Dr. Wendy Robb, Dean of the School of Nursing.
“As the profession of nursing becomes more complex, it has never been more important to ensure that our graduates are well-prepared to meet the challenges that they will face as they enter the profession. We support our students’ growth in knowledge and clinical performance, and when they graduate, we are confident they will be successful.”
